The Asylum Chapel
A road trip with The Alternatives group. For this shoot I wanted to create a moody hazy look with muted colours, using Senecio, Clematis, Amnesia Roses and Earl Grey Roses to name but a few varieties.
Some interesting information from Jenny Appleton…
“During the Second World War The asylum was bombed, and the chapel was almost completely gutted by an incendiary device, with the astonishing exception of its important stained-glass windows and fascinating collection of carved stone funerary monuments. This gives the Asylum its beautiful charm of peeling walls, random stone bricks on the floor and crumbling walls.”
